Why I've Redesigned the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
Jun 19, 2026
Over the past year, I've noticed something interesting.
The majority of women reaching out to me aren't looking to become yoga teachers so they can teach advanced poses or perfect their class sequencing.
They're looking for better health.
They're navigating stress and burnout.
They're exploring perimenopause and menopause.
They're emerging from years of caring for children, partners, careers, and family, and asking themselves, "What's next for me?"
And many of them are turning to Yoga and Ayurveda for answers.
As yoga teachers, we're often supporting people through some of life's biggest transitions. We have the privilege of walking alongside our students as they navigate change, seek greater wellbeing, and rediscover themselves through practice.
It's made me realise that the role of the modern yoga teacher extends far beyond teaching postures.
Students are looking for teachers who understand health.
Teachers who understand the nervous system, stress, lifestyle, and wellbeing.
Teachers who understand women.
After all, women make up the vast majority of yoga practitioners, yet topics such as hormonal health, stress, burnout, perimenopause, menopause, healthy ageing, and life transitions are often only briefly explored in yoga teacher training.
This is one of the reasons I've spent time redesigning this year's Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.
The live round begins in July, and with enrolments closing on June 30th, it felt like the perfect time to share some of the changes we've made. Here's a video I made offering a brief overview of the training:
What's New?
Alongside anatomy, therapeutic yoga, teaching skills, and professional development, I've added a dedicated Women's Health focus, exploring how Yoga and Ayurveda can support women through the different stages and transitions of life.
This year's live training includes:
- Understanding Health Through Yoga & Ayurveda
- Women's Health Across the Lifespan
- Therapeutic Applications of Yoga
- The Art of Teaching
- Professional Pathways for Yoga Teachers
We've also introduced monthly Teaching Clinics, providing a practical space for participants to apply what they're learning, refine their teaching skills, receive feedback, ask questions, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
More Than a Training
My vision for the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training has always been to create something that goes beyond simply accumulating hours or collecting another certificate.
I want this training to help you deepen your understanding of Yoga and Ayurveda, strengthen your personal practice, develop your confidence as a teacher, and discover meaningful ways to serve others.
Whether your goal is to teach, coach, mentor, run workshops, support women's health, explore Yoga Therapy, or simply deepen your own understanding, this training is designed to support that journey.
Join Us
The next live round begins in July 2026 and runs over five months, combining live online workshops, teaching clinics, mentoring, community support, and lifetime access to all recordings and resources.
If you've been considering taking the next step in your studies, I'd love to invite you to explore the training and see whether it feels like the right fit for you.
Enrolments close June 30th.
