Module 1: Anatomy & Physiology For Yoga
200hr & 350hr: Develop a fundamental understanding of Western Anatomical science, and be empowered to facilitate safe classes for a variety of injuries and conditions. Explore some of the foundational concepts of Eastern Anatomy & Physiology.
500hr: Expand your understanding of the body by looking deeper into the Eastern elements of Anatomy & Physiology. Discover the dhatus, malas, srotas, and prana, tejas, and ojas.
Module 2: Yoga Physiology
200hr & 350hr: Delve into the mind-body-spirit complex.
Discover the Gunas, Nadis, Sheathes, Charkas, and Pancha Vayus.
500hr: Expand your knowledge of the nadis and the central channels of the Sushumna, Ida, and Pingala. Explore how an understanding of Yoga Physiology can support us on the path of healthy living & self-discovery.
Module 3: Philosophy, Ethics & Lifestyle
200hr & 350hr: Yoga is so much more than what happens on the mat. In this module we look at the yoga-system as per the Bhagavad-Gita, investigate the true meaning of yoga, and explore the yoga-lifestyle.
500hr: In this module, we look at some of the traditional principles of yoga such as Dharma & Sanatan Dharma (purpose); Service; ethics and etiquette.
Module 4: Yoga Techniques
200hr & 350hr: Learn practical techniques for health and wellbeing. We’ll cover over 50+ foundational techniques, including postures, breathwork, mantra & kirtan, and relaxation. We’ll also cover a study of teaching cues according to different schools of thought, and help you develop your authentic voice as a teacher.
500hr: Build on your foundational understanding of asana by learning the art of vinyasa (hatha-flow); plus, learn techniques to advance yours’ and your student’s practice.
Module 5: Teaching Methodology
200hr & 350hr: Learn about the Art of Teaching – how to demonstrate, communicate, and hold space as a yoga teacher.
500hr: Learn about pacing and timing for teaching, and adapting your delivery to suit different learning styles. We’ll also look at how to deal with challenging situations as a yoga teacher (such as managing illness & injury).
Module 6: Integrative & Practice Teaching
200hr & 350hr: Design and facilitate effective classes for a variety of different students and settings (such as one-on-one’s, group classes, workshops, and retreats) while maintaining yours and your students safety.
500hr: Learn holistic assessment techniques that allow you to confidently work with your clients in a personalized manner. Set physical, mental, spiritual, and therapeutic goals, monitor progress, and implement coaching techniques to support students on their journey. In this module, we also look at developing your product line: signature classes, courses, retreats, and more!
Module 7: Ayurveda for Yoga
200hr & 350hr: This specialty subject enables you to use Ayurvedic principles and techniques to support and inspire physical and mental wellbeing.
500hr: Assist clients in gently cleansing with yoga lifestyle applications: Kriya, Pranayama, Yoga-Asana, Meditation, & a Sattvic Diet.
